With the economy the way it is, the state of unrest in the world, and in our own country I feel the need to spread the idea of “paying it forward”.  Good things come to those that give.  I strongly believe that.  I want to start a “pay it forward” gesture by offering FREE wedding photography for a deserving couple.  I truly want this to go to a couple that would A) appreciate the gift and not take advantage of the gift in anyway and B) be completely comfortable with my style of photography and allow me to do my thing!  and most importantly in the spirit of “paying it forward” tell me what “pay it forward” gesture you will do for another.

Please write me an email that tells me your story in detail your situation and why you think you should receive this gift.  I want to hear everything about you and your significant other - how you two met, and all the trials and tribulations that have happened.  I am also looking to hear how you have handled all the stress, unpleasant happenings AND all the positive things that have happened to you both.

The email should illustrate to me the essence of who you both are as people.  I want to know you before I even meet with you

Tell me in detail why you will have a hard time budgeting a photographer for your wedding - and why having a photographer is important to you.

I want to know all the details of your wedding - location, vendors you have already booked, etc….

And in the spirit of “paying it forward” I want to know your ideas of how you will pay it forward - do something only you can do for someone who is deserving as you are.

The winner will be chosen by me at my discretion.  If I am already booked for your wedding date I will immediately inform you.

I am looking for honesty, sincerity, and hope in your emails to me.

Wedding must take place in the Orlando area - if the wedding is outside of Orlando then the winning couple agrees to pay for travel accommodations at cost.

You must be willing to have your images published by me in anyway.  Print, blog, website, etc…  As a side note I would never publish an image that is private in nature (nudity, semi-nudity)

First “pay it forward competition” must be between July 09 to the end of September of 09. 

The second “pay it forward” competition must be between January 2010 to March of 2010.

The winning couple will receive the following services from Karla Fountain Photography

• An engagement session (within the greater Orlando area)
• up to 6 hours of wedding photography by Karla Fountain
• private online gallery of images for viewing/purchasing by guests or family
•  up to 150 images that are fully retouched in Karla Fountain’s signature style

Loved working with them!  We had so much fun at their friends ranch here in Orlando.  The location was prefect and it suited them to a t.  I felt like a kid in a candy store :)  The pollen blooming everywhere was incredible though!  As I left I noticed that my shoes and feet were GREEN! 

I loved photographing this family and cute, soft, and couch sitting Labradoodle (a designer breed of lab and poodles)

I LOVE to travel - all over the world.  I have been blessed to have seen a lot of this world.  And so lucky to have captured it on camera.  I hope you enjoy some more images from this installment:  East Africa
