Jessica & Justin’s Wedding - Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club
Sunday, January 27th, 2008What a weekend I had! Two Justin grooms in one weekend - what are the chances of that? I was so lucky let me tell you.
Except this wedding has one distinction for me particularly! Jessica (the gorgeous bride) is a professional photographer! So, yes my nerves were on edge a bit
She is an incredible photographer in Tampa, Fl and she had chosen me to be her wedding photographer. Quite an honor amongst photographers let me tell you. So, Erin and I arrive in Tampa, the wedding was at the Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club, early as I am always worried about being late and especially being held up on I-4! Anyone that lives in the central Florida area knows how awful that can be and how long it can set you back in travel time. So, me being the worry wort we leave early and arrive early. YAY! So, we get some lunch beforehand and go over the schedule etc… My nerves are getting worse but Erin (my most wonderful 2nd shooter) is saying “why in the world are you worried???” But, any photographer who is shooting for ANOTHER photographer will always be worried.
Anyway, I digress… We arrive and she is having a blast with all her awesome bridesmaids. And she made sure they were all dressed before I got there so we could get some getting ready shots and go right into some portraits with her and the bridesmaids. Well, it turned out to be TOO much fun while she was getting ready!!! See the images below! Jessica is so expressive! Her face just lights up and expresses all the emotions she is feeling so me being a photographer had a ball!
So, the ceremony starts and OMG - seriously not a dry eye in the whole place and I do not think I have EVER shot in a wedding with this many cameras. I think everyone on their guest list is a photographer
I am not kidding. I thought a few times during the ceremony that I know I was in somebody’s shot - but I was there doing my what she hired ME for
So, to make things even more emotional is that they wrote their own vows. OMG this is just asking for more tears and emotion - I LOVE IT!! Justin (the groom) had everyone in tears as he too is just as expressive in his emotions. To top things all off both fathers spoke during the ceremony and I looked around at the guests at one point and all I saw were tears in the women’s eyes. WOW.
The reception was incredible
They did the coolest thing! They had an old fashioned photo-booth to take photos of their guests. I got many and I mean MANY compromising images of couples in the booth! hehhehehe :) So, please take a look at these images - I just hope they convey the love and passion they share for one another. And I want to thank them personally for having the faith in me to photograph one of the most important days in their lives. I am quite honored
