Karla Fountain’s Blog

This is the first night of the wedding weekend in Marrakech, Morocco. Their wedding the next day was at the gorgeous Jnane Tamsna luxury villas in the Palmeraie district of Marrakech.

I had just met Violetta and Coen this day shortly before I started to photograph. They were there all the way from London and me, Erin and my hubby from Orlando

The rehearsal was a combination of shopping (the guys were shopping for traditional Moroccan wedding garb), cocktails at a club, and finally a dinner in the middle of the Medina in Marrakech.

What a whirlwind of an evening! I could go on and on about Marrakech - the people, the cultures, the beauty, etc… The Medina (where the dinner and shopping was) is the heart of Marrakech and symbolizes much of what this city is all about.

This is one of my favorite weddings of all time.  They are just so beautiful inside and outside.  The day was perfect at the Longboat Key Club in Sarasota, Fl.

Emotions were running high and the love was so apparent between them.  They decided to see one another before the ceremony - I LOVE this!  Gives me more opportunities to photograph their “first looks” of seeing one another.  And of course it gives me more time to photograph the two of them together
