Erin & Vinnie’s Wedding!!! Port Clinton, Ohio

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

I just cannot find the words to say how much this wedding meant to me.  My Erin was getting married!  Most of you (orlando vendors and past clients) know Erin was my second photographer for 6+ years.  She decided to move back home to Ohio two years ago.  Broke my heart but I knew it made her happy :)

And as I knew it would happen should found her prince charming.  Vinnie - he is absolutely perfect for her.  Such a gentlemen, VERY handsome, and just adores Erin.  He treats her as she deserves like a princess.  Love him!

Their wedding was in an adorable town, Port Clinton, on Lake Erie in Ohio.  Erin has always been a wine buff so it was so fitting that they chose a winery, Mon Ami in Port Clinton.  She knew I had to be her photographer or I would do not so nice things to her :)  just kidding!!  I was so honored to be there to see her get married to such a wonderful guy and photograph her wedding.

I love you Erin!  :)

Hope you all love the images!  My blog LOVES comments :)

Katie & Matt’s Wedding!

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Hi all!

I am still catching up on weddings, engagements and portrait sessions here on the blog…..  Stay tuned!

In the meantime here is a gorgeous wedding of Katie and Matt at the amazing Maison Jardin in Lake Mary, Fl.  It was a gorgeous sunny day  - a little hot but it’s Florida :)

Katie was so gorgeous - her gown was regal, and implied elegance that is Katie.  She is such a sweet and genuine person - so an elegant dress was certainly fitting for her :)

The wedding was wonderful!  Taking place outside on the Maison Jardin lawn just outside their gorgeous garden.  All I can say about the cake and the decor is gorgeous!  It fit the wedding and the location.  A lot of forethought went into all the details of this wedding :)

Hope you enjoy the images and as always please visit my site: Karla Fountain Photography and my blog: Karla Fountain’s Blog

Sherri & Tug’s Wedding on a private island off of Captiva Island!!!

Monday, May 24th, 2010

A WOW wedding for sure!!!  I could write a book on this incredible wedding.  I shot a wedding on this private island off of Captiva Island a few years ago.  It is only reachable by boat!  And, no cars on the island only golf carts.  Talk about escaping the hustle and bustle of the landlocked!

I am horrible at writing so bear with me :)  Sherri the gorgeous bride was marrying her equally handsome groom Russell - aka Tug!  It was hilarious during the prep time before the ceremony I kept hearing the name “Tug” and knew he had to be someone important as they mentioned the name all the time!  Finally, I was with a bridesmaid said “Tug” in front of Russell did I get it :)  He is so fun and relaxed of a person and said we could call him whatever - Tug, Russel, Russ….  So, cute.  But, I never got to find out where the name “Tug” came from!  I will have to find out :)

They had a gorgeous small beach wedding.  And the most hilarious (others may think differently on this) when the officiant asked for the rings everyone looked at each other.  The sister and maid of honor said they were in the golf cart!  So, her and the best man (the groom’s brother) RAN to the golf cart!  Everyone was laughing!!  I turned on my rapid shooting to get expressions and the moments of this treasure.  But, I can see how a bride might not be too happy about this happening.  But, from a photographer’s point of view is was great :)

The reception was beautiful - a beautiful tent, a great band, lots of emotions from the dances.  It was wonderful to see it all.  My boat was set to leave at 10:30 which was before the reception was over.  I truly wished I could have stayed longer :)  Even tried to call the boat charter company (at the request of the bride of course but I did want to stay to capture more of the fun) but never heard back.  So, on the boat we went to the marina.  The ride on the boat at night was just so cool.

Adored this wedding :)
